Latest News
It's great to be back, we have a few events arranged, but the current situation means certain guidelines have to be met.
The key precaution is to abide by the 1m+ and 2m rule where possible, social distancing requirement for all those that are not in your household or “bubble”. This means that unless you are from the same household/bubble there will be no buggy sharing.
We will no longer take any group photos until further notice. We recommend that you bring a face mask/covering with you in case the golf club requires one to be worn indoors such as in the pro shop, and please observe regular hand washing.
We recommend that you read the current England Golf‘s ‘Play Safe, Stay Safe’ guidelines. You can find these at: www.englandgolf.org
Also, when you arrive at a golf club please make yourself aware of any procedures they have put in place to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.
We do ask that you do not attend if you feel unwell or have symptoms, and that if you are ill after an event you contact the track and trace service on 119 and tell them that you attended our golf event.
Hole-In-One...!!!
An historic day during the DGA's northern event held at Thorne GC in South Yorkshire, where Ben Marlow, our youngest member, scored the first ever recorded Hole-in-One at a DGA event.
What was even more remarkable was that this was not on a par 3, which is what you would normally expect for a hole-in-one. No, this was a 260 yard tee to green par 4! An amazing shot by any stretch, even crossing a water hazard covering the approach to the green.
Many congratulations Ben on an incredible achievement. It was probably fitting that he went on to take 1st place on the day with a very commendable 39pts.

Redlibbets
Our event at Redlibbets on the 7/8/20 was supported by Sandy from the One Golf Club and he made a video about the event, the DGA and the One Golf Club.
It was an extremely hot day and our members particularly enjoyed the cold drinks and BBQ laid on at the end. Thanks Sandy, much appreciated!

Membership
Membership of the DGA costs £10.00 per annum for which you will receive a DGA badge for your golf bag and be added to our mailing list to receive our monthly newsletter which includes DGA news and event updates.
Our golf events cost £40.00 per event and includes a welcome coffee and breakfast roll on arrival, 18 holes of golf with a shared buggy followed by a meal after the days play and presentation of prizes to the top 3 players.
It's all good fun and just a little competitive, so why not come along and join us, we hold events up and down the country so there's sure to be one near you.
Check our events page for more details.

New Rule
Remember you can now leave the pin in the hole when putting. This is good news especially for disabled golfers and will help speed up play.
Well done the R & A.
